LoopNet, Inc., and PropertyFirst.com, Inc. Merge

LoopNet, Inc., and PropertyFirst.com, Inc., announced today that their respective boards of directors have approved a merger of the two firms, creating the commercial real estate industry’s dominant Internet company. The new firm, which counts as its investors or customers virtually all the top commercial real estate organizations in the United States, leads the industry as a technology, marketing and listing-information services provider. The new company, which will operate under the LoopNet name, is the number-one online commercial property marketplace, with over 145,000 sale and lease listings, and the number-one online commercial real estate community, attracting more commercial real estate professionals than any other Internet site.

Selling And Moving For Investment Sake?
Question: We are considering refinancing our home and have decided to use that money to begin buying and selling real estate. I would like to purchase a lower-priced home to fix up and sell. I hear about all of these real estate success stories and I am just wondering if this is a good course of action.
